My hamradio career began at age 9 when I found two radio branded " National " in the closet of my house. They were two walkie talkies that my father, hunter, used during hunting to communicate with others. I lit one and having the chance to be on the 6th floor of a building in central Livorno, I made my first QSO, where the other party ( the pastor of the church near my home) gave me the initials of cucciolo. Then came the time of DX, still 27mhz with the famous channeling over 40CH and 40CH below, I used the call Lima Bravo connecting stations in many countries around the globe where I guard jealously still all QSL. After many years of stop and at the ripe age of 48 years I decided to enter the exciting world of OM. 73 to all and 59!
